Zermatt Skiing

With ski slopes soaring to an impressive 3,883m, Zermatt offers a unique opportunity to ski year-round amidst some of the Alps’ most breath-taking scenery, in the shadows of the mighty Matterhorn. While Zermatt may initially seem daunting for novice skiers and young children, Wolli Park delivers reliable snow conditions, panoramic views, and a peaceful setting away from busier runs. Exceptional ski schools and a wealth of nearby restaurants ensure the whole family can reconnect with ease. A bonus: children under the ages of nine ski for free.

Zermatt is a paradise for intermediate skiers, with its long, flowing pistes and mellow off-piste routes. The White Hare run, a 1,000m descent from the Hohtälli cable car to Gant, is a particular favourite. Advanced skiers can explore avalanche-controlled yellow itineraries and legendary mogul terrain at Stockhorn–Triftji, a three-kilometre leg-burning challenge.

For an unforgettable alpine adventure, we highly recommend booking a private Bergführer (mountain guide) and helicopter to conquer the Monte Rosa descent. From the Heli drop at 4,200m, carve your way through untouched snow, navigating between seracs and crevasses in a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
